Modern Slavery Statement
Last Updated: 15 January 2026
1. Introduction
Lingly Limited (Company No: 12536799) is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or supply chains.
Although we are not legally required to publish a statement under the Act (as our annual turnover is below £36 million), we voluntarily commit to transparent and ethical business practices as part of our work with UK public sector organisations.
2. Our Business
Lingly Limited is a UK-based technology company providing AI-powered English language training software to public sector organisations, including NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Boards, and Local Authorities. Our platform helps international healthcare workers develop the vocational English skills required for safe, confident clinical practice.
We are headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Our team is small, UK-based, and all staff are engaged under fair employment terms that comply with UK employment law.
3. Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Conducting our business ethically and with integrity.
- Ensuring all employees are paid at least the National Living Wage and are engaged under fair, transparent terms.
- Respecting the human rights of our employees, contractors, and all individuals in our supply chain.
- Expecting our suppliers and business partners to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Reporting any concerns regarding modern slavery to the appropriate authorities.
4. Our Supply Chain
As a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider, our supply chain is limited and primarily consists of:
- Cloud Infrastructure Providers: We use enterprise-grade cloud platforms (such as Vercel and DigitalOcean) to host our services. These providers are large, publicly accountable organisations with their own published modern slavery statements and compliance programmes.
- Professional Services: We engage with a small number of UK-based professional service providers for legal, accounting, and business advisory services.
- Software and Tools: We license third-party software tools and APIs from established technology vendors.
We do not operate in sectors or geographies typically associated with high risks of forced labour or human trafficking. We do not use recruitment agencies to source overseas labour.
5. Due Diligence
We take the following steps to identify and mitigate modern slavery risks:
- When engaging new suppliers, we consider their ethical practices and, where appropriate, review their modern slavery statements.
- We verify the right to work status of all employees in accordance with UK immigration law.
- We maintain clear employment contracts that set out fair terms, working hours, and pay.
- We reserve the right to terminate relationships with any supplier or partner found to be involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.
6. Training and Awareness
All team members are made aware of modern slavery risks and our commitment to ethical business practices. Our Code of Conduct, which all staff are required to read and follow, sets out our expectations for integrity and ethical behaviour.
Staff are encouraged to report any concerns or suspicions regarding modern slavery, either internally or through appropriate external channels such as the Modern Slavery Helpline (08000 121 700).
7. Reporting Concerns
If you have any concerns about modern slavery in our business or supply chain, or if you wish to report suspicious activity, please contact us at hello@lingly.ai.
